Our Heart of Worship
We strive to present Transforming worship.
This kind of worship is “a communal experience that combines classic spiritual practices with a formative encounter with God and Christ through the Holy Spirit.” (Rory Noland - Transforming Worship)
Broken down, we believe this means:
- Communal: worship is for everyone and to be done with others
- Experiential: people are asked to participate
- Spiritual practices: worship as a whole involves prayer, Scripture reading, confession, communion, and baptism
- Encounter: worship is a meeting, a time for intimacy and growth
Transforming worship is not about evoking feeling or even teaching - it’s forming an encounter with a person
To reflect this, our music and service is simple, open to times of silence, focuses on creating a space rather than performance or show, and allows space for a dialogue with the message. The music genre is secondary as is our Instrumentation and vocal team make up.
Each Sunday, we invite you to join in a time of transforming worship, whether through music, communion, fellowship, or learning.
